FOUR!
MODERN ENOUGH
TO BELONG TODAY
(personal project)

Brief
The brief asked for a visual identity for Four! — a golfing range. The direction was clear from the start: something elegant, able to bring together a love for green, open-air sport with a fresh, refined approach. Golf's own identity became the real tension to solve: a sport built on centuries of tradition, but one that risks feeling closed off or dated to a new generation of players.
Strategy
Rather than choosing between "classic" and "modern," the identity was built to hold both at once — heritage and freshness, blended rather than traded off. The goal wasn't to reinvent golf, but to give it a lighter, more contemporary presence: the same sport, the same green, presented through a lens elegant enough to feel current.
The answer
In place of the expected green, the palette shifts to a deep royal blue paired with a light neutral cream, giving the brand a more premium, less predictable presence. Photography stays black and white, borrowing golf's vintage feel, while framing, cropping and styling lean more editorial. In the logo, the exclamation mark doubles as the game itself: the stroke reads as a golf club, the dot as the ball. Applied across stationery, tees, balls and outdoor signage, the system stays consistent but never stiff: classic enough to earn its place on a course, fresh enough to feel made for today's golfer.
