COMMUNICATION DESIGNER

GASTRITE

A fanzine about all the things we love to hate

Gastrite — the italian for gastritis — is a project developed during MA in Communication Design at Politecnico di Milano. The brief consisted of creating an artifact that talked about discomfort in any form, so we chose to talk about all those things we love to hate. Whether they are more or less strong annoyances, revealed to the world or kept hidden, it doesn't matter, the important thing is to admit them. So why not laughing about it? With Gastrite we want to dig, find and spread all of those thoughts that you don't have the courage to say out loud. Through relentless cynicism and biting satire we want to break down prejudices and annoyances caused by ignorance and disinformation and fight intolerance towards situations and people. Each issue revolves around a macro-theme and Gastrite is the character who, in the first person, comments and scribbles the magazine through his thoughts and drawings as a real stream of consciousness. Politically incorrect becomes our motto: in order not to hate anyone we will hate everyone!
